CROSTINI PIZZA

                      CROSTINI PIZZA

What is crostini? Crostini is a small, thinly sliced piece of toasted bread.
Crostini Pizza is a great after school snack. Its quick and easy Crostini Pizza-perfect for the kids!

INGREDIENTS:
·      1 Loaf of Baguette, the long skinny style
·      Pizza Sauce
·      Mozzarella Cheese OR 4 Cheese Pizza Mix
·      Jalapeno Pepper
·      Green Bell Pepper
·      White Sweet Onion
·      Tomato, firm
·      1 Garlic Clove, peeled
·      Red Chili Flakes
·      Italian Herbs (I use McCormick Italian Herb Grinder)

LET’S BAKE:
I made crostini pizza in small toaster oven.
Turn the toaster oven on toast setting.
Place bread rolls on a cutting board and hold knife at 45-degree angle and cut the bread into desire thickness.
Bake crostini in toaster oven until golden brown and crispy. (NOTE: You can use regular bread if you don’t have long skinny loaf baguette, but make sure you toast the bread first before spreading pizza sauce otherwise bread will become soft)
Once it turns golden brown on top then bring it out.
Rub raw garlic clove on crostini. (Gives great flavor to the pizza)
Spread little pizza sauce on crostini.
Place vegetable topping (Use topping of your choice), pizza sauce and then cheese and place it back in the oven until cheese melts and an edge of the crostini starts getting dark.
Remove and allow cooling slightly.
Sprinkle red chili flakes and Italian herbs from Italian Herb Grinder.
It is so delicious and makes a great snack between meals.
It makes great after school snack for kids.
Enjoy…

NOTE: Use any bread and vegetables of your choice.
